Changing the sort type to Scaled helps a bit, but yeah I do wish there was a way to limit the number of post a comm can have in the local feed.
I was half serious about moving to !BuyFromEU@lemm.ee, if that’s an issue for feddit.uk users to have that community taking too much space in their local feed

I subscribe to both “buying Europe things” communities and let me tell you, Scaled does NOT reduce the amount of post from them on the front page

I don’t think the issue is where it’s hosted. The issue is that the software allows it to dominate. Things like this should drive improvements in the front ends.

I don’t know, I think having too many European communities (!europe@feddit.org , !europepolitics@feddit.org , !buyfromeu@feddit.org ) on the same server seems like we are re-creating Reddit, shouldn’t we have different similar communities on every instance possible? That way we’ll be fully decentralized, with thousands of communities with one person posting!
