Yes, but don’t go to Jlailu if you don’t speak French
https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/list , sort by active users
Any instance of the top 15 is fine, be aware of .ml and lemmygrad political stances, and that Beehaw runs a very old version of Lemmy
Where are you located? Seems normal here in Europe
If it’s not w then why stay federated?
Are lemmy.ml allies of Lemmy or not?
I respect the Lemmy devs as devs, I don’t like them as instance admins, but I don’t try to throw crap at time everytime I can.
Doesn’t prevent me from growing !linux@programming.dev , !privacy@lemmy.dbzer0.com , !opensource@programming.dev
We can disagree without throwing each other under the bus
Could have put Spez or whoever else everyone here despise
Sopuli and lemmy.ca are regional
Still federated with Threads

Welcome to Lemmy, here are a few pointers to help you settle in
Would have probably been better with purely thanks and no diss attempt in the middle 😄
Remember when I told you to keep it easy on the memes against .ml, hexbear and grad a few days ago? 😄
!communitypromo@lemmy.ca has a pinned post with active communities

About the negative aspect, not sure, personally I always see new instances as a good news, except if they’re overtly about hate speech.
Edit: Is there a guide on moderation for that template?
I’ve seen a few accounts systematically any content posted to one of my communities without ever commenting. For weeks. I assumed they should probably leave that community if they don’t like it and banned them.
At 48k monthly active users, there’s still quite a margin to become Reddit. 100k would already allow for more niche communities while being manageable.
Or !main@feddit.org being mostly in German
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to have a German speaking instance, but it may not be for everyone
