Always remember that human language primarily serves to maintain social bonds, not to exchange information. Giving rote answers to rote questions is perfectly acceptable.

I am gonna be real here and say that stuff like this for me is the hardest proof there is no bond whatsoever and if they have known me for a while that there not actually interest in knowing me as a person.
“Good, how about you?” End of.
Good, you?
Do you want to talk? That’s how you decide
“I thought we covered this yesterday?”
