What app/client are you using?
I mean, if it is not related to a specific “parent comment”, you could simply post it as a 1st rank comment to the post instead?
Are you interested in finding more communities to subscribe to?
!communitypromo@lemmy.ca or !trendingcommunities@feddit.nl and similar resources help me personally to find ones I never knew about
I absolutely understand that regarding political/news communities, I bet your experience is very different in entertainment/hobbies communities
That is to be expected, hardly any big AI model has been trained with current world events past 2023
I’m still wondering if this is some kind of research project
I think when I got Win10 (?) on my then-new laptop it automatically assigned all kinds of file formats to open in Paint3D, so I opened it once, realized “this is not paint” and closed it never to be opened again.

When I want to pull someone in, I’ll mention that I saw some meme / post / video or whatever on lemmy, and then tell them about the post. You’re leading with the value of the content, and if the person you want to join also enjoys that content, they might ask what lemmy is. This is your invitation to pull them in.
