Classic question if you can seperate the art and the artist. Rowling, MJ, Lovecraft (even if you will be hard pressed to find any old artist that wasnt misogynistic, racist, homophobic and all other narrow minded ideas under the sun)

Humans will pack bond with anything
Fake. But good old correlation is not the same as causality rears its head again
I have a 2 year old who falls asleep when driving, and we have had troubles with sleeping so I drive the motorway for perhaps two hours. In Norway the only places that do drive through is BK and McD, and yeah I have been one black coffe guy. Or just fries and coke. And nuggets and fries are car friendly. Can be eaten with one hand, and makes little mess
For me its Fatty Finn. A 1980 movie adaptation of an Australian cartoon strip character from the 1930s. Why it was translated and published in Norway and what made my mother buy it I don’t know. But I have seen it enough times that now over 30 years after I last saw it I can probably quote parts if it Verbatim.
Dont know. But as jokes go it’s as tired and bad as blackface and “gay best friend” in RomComs
Norway at least has food wise benefited immensely from immigration. You always har fine dining with French or Italian inspired food. But I am old enough to remember when TexMex became available in stores and how exotic it was.
Food doesn’t evolve in a vacuum. I love how cultures meeting also means developing music, traditions, music and food. Vietnamese is fusion of Asia and France. Viet-Cajun is vietnamese in the south of US. And then you get the marvelous vier-cajun-viet! British Indians developing the food.
Salmon sushi is Norwegian (ish) so different sauce on sushi…bring it on
How does that work? They still have to buy the power from someone, and those prices have increased. Or do they own their own power plant/turbine/whatever. Then they should sell the excess and subsidize their citizens.
Frostbeard@lemmy.worldto memes@lemmy.world•What was the last original movie you saw and how did you watch it?1·7 months agoI think I like it because it’s a classic spy thriller with comedy. Some interesting characters portrayed by stellar performers. Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and Diana Taverner (Kirsten Scott Thomas) are so good. And season four has a beautiful piece of slapstick where the self important River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) falla flat on his face in a moment of triumph
Frostbeard@lemmy.worldto memes@lemmy.world•What was the last original movie you saw and how did you watch it?1·7 months agoI have a 2 year old so what I find time to see is quite limited. Perhaps my opinion is a result of watching TV-shows adapted from books (Slow Horses), reality (Clarkson’s Farm) and crime/thrillers with a “monster of the week” structure, but with a slight narrative over a season (criminal minds)
Frostbeard@lemmy.worldto memes@lemmy.world•What was the last original movie you saw and how did you watch it?3·7 months agoI hardly watch movies anymore since I find the format limited compared to TV shows.
Last TV show - Slow Horses season 4
Last original movie in a movie theater was probably the Pokemon Movie.
Last movie in a movie theater was Dune part one. (Which for one was a hell of a good remake tbh)

They really try to make engage a thing at my workplace. HR really pushes it but not even the crickets are alive in there
