“Money can’t buy happiness” is a great mantra for rejecting the capitalist enshirining of wealth as a virtue. It’s important to see happiness as something more complex than income.

The issue is that when interpreted as “poverty is no excuse for unhappiness”, it loses all valid meaning.

I love that I can’t identify with this. My biological clock is phenomenal. I only use an alarm as a safety net when I have an early morning commitment, but I usually end up turning it off the next morning well before it would go off.

The gallery app is not part of Android. The file manager is not part of Android. pretty much every app that came preinstalled on your phone is not part of the OS.

I mean, yeah. On one hand, you have pretty much all of Conservatism which is empowered largely by religious ideology, and is propelling the West full-speed towards fascism. This take sits right in the middle: “Yes, extremism is largely a result of religious indoctrination, but don’t hurt people’s feelings by challenging their beliefs.”

No, sorry. Challenging people’s bullshit supernatural beliefs is very method in which we attack extremism. If those beliefs justify cruelty, there is no shame in telling a person that their beliefs are bullshit and their behavior is reprehensible.

The virus thing is bullshit, but inkjet cartridges usually have chips in them because the print head requires a digital controller. They aren’t generally just a container of ink.

Now, using the need for a controller to add anti-consumer lockouts? That’s what we call malware.
