As much as I hate the thought of Apple being even bigger and more pervasive than they are, if satellite cellular is inevitable and unavoidable I’d vastly prefer an Apple service to MuskNet.

Not sure if it was ever actually done or just urban legend but there used to be something called “the husband stitch” where an OBGYN would add another stitch while repairing an episiotomy (when a woman tears a bit giving childbirth) supposedly to make her vagina tighter. A lot of things there don’t add up, but that’s what the joke is about.

I remember taking a design class in the 1990s right after GC came out, and the professor basically said “this will be used as a demo in intro design classes for the next century.” I thought it was hyperbole, but people still talk about it.

This would make a great lemmy comunity!
