  • People on China have widespread and non-prosecuted access to VPNs. This is common knowledge. Media is irrelevant, a single photograph from a mobile phone leaked on the internet would be enough to make New York Times cover. The fact that this hasn’t happened proves enough.

There isn’t evidence of genocide in China. You can possibly make an argument for police state, but the genocide thing is so thoroughly debunked even wikipedia had to change the article title to “persecution” last year. If you want to have a serious, evidence-based conversation about this instead of the usual ear-shutting and namecalling, I’m fully willing.

The document is from a US intelligence agency from what it seems, it’s poorly referenced, and even then there’s nothing post-2021, is there?

I explicitly asked to please point at the reference within the article, because I’m exhausted of people just finding articles on google on this topic on western media and sending them to me without reading them. Please tell me what post-2021 huma right abuses are referenced and well-sourced in the report

    Uyghers are in one

There is no post-2021 evidence whatsoever of human right abuses of any sort in the Xinjiang province against Uyghur people. You can try to find stuff but you won’t find anything, I dare you to send me a single article that has an actual reference to actual evidence of post-2021 human right abuses. Send me an article and point to the actual reference within the article. I dare you.

Again, never had such thing as “accountable politicians” in the west, we’re founded on colonialism, slavery and genocide. We’ve never had these “balances and regulations” that you talk about, otherwise the people in charge for the invasion of Vietnam, Iraq, the bombing of Libya and of Yugoslavia, and an honestly endless list of atrocities carried out by the west, would have suffered consequences

Bingo. The only “worthy” leftist movements in these people’s minds are the ones that failed, because they weren’t tested under real world conditions. Anarchism in the Spanish civil war, Allende, those are fine to glorify because they ultimately lost, and that way you can keep your moral high ground and standards by worshipping an idealised version of them rather than real-life socialism with material and historical costraints

Lmao, the Rojava are a minor movement in a very restricted area, and will exist for as long as the US is interested in their presence in the region.

how you got “doesnt support leftist movements” for defining tankie

Hey, I’m not the one denying every socialist experiment in history and decrying it as “authoritarian” without having done any serious study on it, and sharing the same point of view on it with libs.
