Turned 40 this past week. Was just bemoaning that most of my company don’t get the :holdontoyourbutts: Samuel L Jackson emoji in slack and now this.
Cannabis. At least most major cities in Europe/North America I find it really common now to openly smell cannabis all hours of the day. Combination of the strains being MUCH stronger and legalization. Even just 20 years back, of course in the Haight in SF or certain parts of NYC you’d smell it, or outside clubs/bars at night. But today I walk through Downtown SF at 830am and smell it every other block. Was in the design district in NYC a few weeks back and same deal.
It seems to me like a thread about pizza would likely be a good thread to ignore as a vegan rather than going out of your way to poo poo others culinary choices.
In any case, Cheese Board also makes a super decent vegan pie daily.
Cheese Board with the green sauce is pretty life changing IME.
Number 1 that’s black beans. Number 2 the punchline is “i dunno but I’ve never paid $20 to have a garbanzo bean on my face”. Number 3 I won’t allow my go to joke to be stolen by these fascist goons!

99 in Berkeley right now. My house was built in like 1928 and since we rent obviously there’s been no energy efficient updating of insulation or anything like that since maybe the 60s. It’s like 94 inside right now. Sitting in front of multiple fans just blowing hot air at me this is the life y’all.

Basically it’s a firefox extension to save a page as a pdf in a directory that is symlinked to your local PrivateGPT install which then ingests the docs. It doesn’t seem to me that it provides any in-browser querying of PrivateGPT but I haven’t tried setting it up to confirm that.
12·2 years agoCalifornia has free breakfast and lunch for all public and charter school kids. Before covid and early on districts started doing it but now it is state wide.
Wow I’ve heard one or two examples like this but seeing the full list is a very stark image of contrast
