I mean I try to achieve this attitude even while my shift is going on. I am there to do my work, but not with exceptional speed or attitude. I don’t care if there’s chaos. Honestly mostly I enjoy it because it’s different than the dull normal days.

I sit quite close to a large 1080p monitor. That’s why I notice when the bitrate is low and the video I am seeing lacks true 1080*720 pixels. Basically it’s compressed so much, that the image is noticeably worse than an image my monitor could display. That’s why when I use a higher pixel count compression, like 1440p, the compression problems don’t show as bad on the screen that will only show 1080p pixels anyways. That’s what I am talking about. On a phone or a laptop screen it will probably be less noticeable. I guess that’s why Youtube does it, it probably saves them a huge amount of bandwidth and people who want really good quality video might already have 4k displays which then get a way higher bitrate video feed anyways.
I guess the 1080p monitor size starts to be a niche. More and more people using it are on smartphones I guess so it really makes sense to have a very low bitrate.

I’m somewhat tickled by the snippets of adverts I’ve seen for both Samsung and Apple’s new phones that mention “AI”. None of what I’ve seen has actually explained why it’s a selling point. Classic cart before the horse stuff.

I don’t have one. It’s to tinker with my first esp32 board and lora.
It’s basically a hobby. If you live somewhere super rural or something it might be interesting to chat with your neighbor or whatever but I think meshtastic is still too much in the alpha stage to be usable really.
It might be useful on a festival or something, where cell networks are overloaded and you and your friends can contact each other via meshtastic. Idk if that would work though.
Yeah I might upgrade to a 18650 cell that I reclaimed if the phone battery is too small.
