Doing something scrappy with an old laptop is cool. Hey, built in UPS if the battery still works!
Doing something powerful and reliable with server class hardware is also very cool.
If it is meeting your needs, I’m happy for you.
I don’t believe it. Send some more billionaires down there to check it out.
Sorry if I came off as argumentative. That certainly wasn’t my intent.
I was just trying to make the point that this person spent a lot of time and effort to do something subpar with plastic.

Oh I would go for the OEM part ten times out of ten, especially for such a nice appliance. Instead this person opted to make some plastic waste that will eventually be in the Ocean after we are all long dead.
Completely agree that Amazon garbage is terrible for humanity
China mastered copying things well. A five pack of replacement knobs that actually match is $34 on Amazon. A crappy homemade knob for a $4000+ range is crazy.
My first thought too. Throw in a few bookshelves, fill them up; waste of space becomes the coolest part of the house.
In my experience an unexpected light on your dashboard is about $1000 minimum at the dealership. I fear for the owner.
2147483647 + 1 will also be a rough year for humanity (or whatever is left)
I imagine with that many people there are restaurants and services within.
Is there some significance to the waffle being blue? I’m going to do some quick research and get to the bottom of this.
Even if you wanted some proprietary tech installed in your body, it seems like such a terrible idea. What happens when the thing is obsolete? What happens if there is a bug? What happens when Elons team didn’t consider some edge case or basic engineering principles? What is to prevent them from doing something unethical once it is installed?
Stay out of my brain, thank you very much.
I am in the US… still up. Very upset this is happening again, I think I’m going to put on Idiocracy and pass out.
Well I updated my computer and my audio stopped working; to the logs! Lol I love Linux, but find myself asking “what now?” much more frequently with it…
With windows it is more like “wtf is this new ad on my start menu?” Or “how can I opt out of all these features no one ever asked for?”
I don’t think this was meant for, obviously, really smart people like you. It is to give a sense of scale that a working person understands. The concept of a billion dollars isn’t easy for most people to actually comprehend.
Especially with the oils and perfumes and incense.
