I have one too. Its arguably simpler than Mastodon but works just like it. Uses a LOT less data too.

There’s portable UPS that are cheaper, but as I understand it, with this hat, you can replace the batteries yourself. So that’s a huge plus.

Price point of 36 is pretty good.

I personally would just spend 10$ more on a mini UPS if I was looking for battery backup as you get way more battery and can work with just about anything. Or a real UPS for 15$ more that can work with multiple devices and a battery that would probably last a pi for a good day.
