  • I like the summaries of notifications. This way, I don’t have to guess what an email is about from the first few words which usually are “Hi mbirth, I hope this email reaches you well”.

The rest of the Apple Intelligence is stuff I can live without. However, Image Playground is nice to create contact pictures or some funny sticker. The newer proofing and grammatical suggestions are nice for second languages. So, it’s not all useless.

  • Rather people have no idea how blocking on 𝕏 worked/works. You were ALWAYS able to see tweets from people that blocked you by simply logging out or using an alt account.

I don’t understand all this fuss about this simple change. He only removes a useless feature that was never more than a minor inconvenience for those that got blocked.

If you don’t want people to see your tweets, lock your profile. This worked before and this still works just fine.

There was one where the guy behind it went to massive lengths so people couldn’t easily distinguish the example files by other means than audio quality. Verdict was that people with more expensive equipment even preferred the sound of the MP3s (320kbps). I think it was this one (Links to Parts 2 and 3 at the bottom.).

Somewhere else I’ve read that - for most humans - 256 kbps MP3s encoded with VBR-ABR using a high-end encoder are basically indistinguishable from the lossless original. Even at 192 kbps it’s still more hit&miss than it should be. But I don’t remember where I’ve read that.
