Ehh I wouldn’t say variables in programming are all that similar to variables in algebra. In a programming language, variables typically are just a name for some data. Whereas in algebra, they are placeholders for unknown values.

It probably depends on the type chip. If they’re the scoops tortilla chips, they would be quiche.

If you’re at work, it’s not really “your” data. It’s “your company’s” data. And your company might be collecting even more data on you than Microsoft.
It’s been a long time since I set it up, but I have Microsoft accounts in my usual TOTP app (Aegis). Maybe I did it manually? But it’s definitely possible.
It should be like music. You can sign up for basically any service (Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, etc) and generally hear any song. It would be ridiculous if each record label or whatever had its own streaming service, so why are TV & movies different?
But that doesn’t do anything to mitigate using the same password/phrase on multiple services.
Occasionally I’ll go to a subreddit on mobile browser and half the time I can’t view it due to mature content. If I really care then I’ll go to old.reddit but often I’ll just back out.
I learned this when I got an electric toothbrush. It only has room for about a pea sized blob and it’s surprising how far it goes.
