The minimum number of points to win a 3-set tennis match is 48, winning 6-0, 6-0. If my only goal is to win a single point, I would give myself decent odds at distracting any given pro tennis player enough for them to lose one point. Across the two sets I might even be able to get two points if I’m really lucky.

However, I don’t plan on breaking my arm by trying to return any of their shots, so even in the (still probably majority) case where I don’t even win one point, at least my embarrassment will be short and controlled.

This is true, but it’s shocking how few people have heat pumps, especially in colder climates.

Still, it’s also far less efficient than using a gas furnace (to the point that most people would actually burn more fossil fuels per Joule of heat from a resistive heater than from just burning the gas directly in a furnace).

Of course, if you’re doing something useful with that energy, using the waste heat is an extra benefit. Like using waste heat from a power plant for district heating.

As someone with a telecommunications background who’s taken apart some cheap routers that look like that: the only caveat I’ll add is that the antennas are only useful if they’re actually connected to anything. From a decently trustworthy brand you’re probably fine, but I’ve seen a few where only one or two of the antenna couplings were connected to anything internally.
