The Crew server side is being reverse engineered so you can eventually play it in the future.
By being ripped out and sandboxed the same way other apps are, Google services isn’t free to siphon battery. This means you can restrict battery use and cut the constant communication down. Thus saving battery. If you allow it, yes it is not different than if it was preloaded.
I have absolutely no idea. Whenever people say it’s the oldest or the birth of democracy, I just chuckle and tell them to read a history book.
For anyone curious about it, here are some sources.
Everyone’s perception is different. I can do 60 fps. I prefer 90 fps minimum and 120 fps target. I see no benefit at 144 or higher. Anything below 60 fps and I just get frustrated. That’s my perception.
30 fps though is something we should move away from. Given how far we’ve come in with all kinds of hardware and software features.
We really should move away from 30 fps as a baseline for PC gaming.
WoW itself runs fine on Linux. Don’t expect any difference here.
That said, it used to be insane button bloat for everyone. Very complex rotations. Around Legion they started reworking it. Now most specs are reduced to rotations being 3-5 buttons. Work in the occasional cool down or defensive and things just fall over. This works out very well for the casual player. Controller support was added a few expansions ago. With the most recent expansion it’s reached good refinement. Some class/spec combos are easier than others.
An addon called Console Port makes it so easy to play with a controller. For leveling or daily quests, it’s perfectly acceptable. I’ve tried it and find it quite enjoyable. I particularly like it on my demon hunter. Though don’t expect to jump into competitive content. You need access to way more than a controller can provide. It slows you down.
Very easy for a majority of people.
As an alternative, for those who want to dive in or have more control: Self host PiHole or AdGuard Home DNS. Either use WireGuard VPN and set the DNS manually, or setup a DoT/DoH service. Either way works.
