LoL, you say all this like I have a choice. I literally cannot sleep past 5 1/2 hours. My body and brain won’t allow it. I take melatonin just to get that much.

I think they meant to type catch not cath. And the implication is that without capitalism you would not have to wake up at a particular time thus necessitating an alarm to wake you at a particular time in the morning.
I’m happy this works for you but it would fuck my brain up royally. When the alarm goes off my brain tries to wake up and after a bit I will go back to sleep. A second alarm 10 minutes later will then fully wake me up but i have 3 back ups with completely different ring tones so my brain doesn’t get used to them and just block them out. I also choose pleasant yet attention grabbing tunes to avoid the blocking out problem. You’d be surprised at how effectively your brain can block a sound it doesn’t like. It’s why I’ve long avoided getting the alarms with the typical alarm sound.
I have literally 5 alarms, all with different ring tones. Cell phones have changed my life.

I have read the entire Harry Potter series (before she outed herself as being scum). And calling her writing bad is disingenuous. She isn’t a bad writer, or more accurately she wasn’t. (It’s notable that her writing started to degrade very sharply not long after she outed herself as a TERF).
She is a fucking horrid human being as are Orson Scott Card and Scott Adams along with a few others who’s true colors shined through due to the pervasive nature of social media. I haven’t watched John Oliver’s video on the subject yet but if I recall correctly, trans athletes don’t even tend to place first in their own divisions. So the whole idea of them being “roided up naturally” is just plain silly. It’s all just a right wing fantasy built to divide the left and supercharge conservatives on election days.
