They might not be, but God they are cute. I know they are wild animals, but I wanna get in there and play with them. :)

Okay, glad I’m not the only one who noticed strange omegaverse podcasts on Spotify.
For reference, this is what Maya reminds me of, Merle Dandridge, VA for Half Life 2’s Alyx Vance.
I’ve skipped to some slower commentary, just so that you can kinda see what a human and AI can sound like with similar pacing while reflecting on a question:
Wow, Jesus. Maya has the same conversational style that Merle Dandridge has in the Half Life 2 commentary tracks (in commentary mode).
That is, even for AI, eerily good. Honestly, I’m not sure if I could always tell them apart if I was fed a bunch of voice clips blind, and asked which ones were human, and which were AI.
People forget shit so fast, it doesn’t even matter. All that matters is the present + six months for most Americans.
Shit, I think many 14-16 yo Americans don’t even know who Obama’s VP was, or would have to think for a second a least, haha.

In all seriousness though, you have to fight this the same way anti abortion lunatics spent decades fighting for their shit. Because there’s a loooooong way to fall before we even start getting close to a “failed state” classification. And your quality of life will plummet profoundly if we don’t fight back against the idiocy seeking to defile our country and destroy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Heh, the first step in a long series of steps towards orbital shipyards and coriolis-class space stations.
The future is looking bright.

I feel like Hungary wants to be a dictatorship but doesn’t want to leave the EU because of the money they receive. And somehow, I don’t think they can have it both ways for much longer.
I like the idea, but I agree with others; a slide out landscape keyboard would be more convenient.
It happens time and time again, throughout all of recorded history. The Greeks, Chinese, Russians, Americans (and Americas), Egyptians, Iranians, French, British, Germans, Indians, Spanish and virtually all of the Middle East have had their time in the sun. Empires rise and fall. Cities are pillaged, looted and burned, and people raped and killed. Some of it is even recorded in the bible. And it will keep happening long into the future. It’s only recently that we’ve developed rules around what can and cannot be done.
They cap the time you can listen to something on a paid subscription? Lmao, their podcasts already suck and are annoying to navigate, and tend to get mixed between music in the UI. Can I pay money to just have a music service?
Also, ebooks and audio books are digital, so any caps (like data caps) are entirely arbitrary.
The rural areas command far more power due to the way the founding fathers wrote everything. This means the least equipped areas have nearly as much power as cities or states with millions of people, where most of the commerce flows. Rural areas then decide policies for the country, while also having worse education on the whole.
Corruption has also weakened votes in the form of gerrymandering, essentially splitting up the power of cities by slicing them up like a pizza and attaching them to much larger rural areas to dilute their power as much as possible. It’s difficult to undo once done.
To unfuck everything, we have to rebalance power that weights voting heavily in favor of areas with large populations- who coincidentally also vote yes on programs like SNAP (foodstamps) and vote yes for social safety nets like medicaid and public schools- all things rural areas benefit the most from.
Hue is also already tracking you a lot.
Although I still hate DisplayPort’s latching, makes it so hard to unplug cables in tight spaces
As a counterpoint to this, I’ve had GPUs with “tired” HDMI ports in tight spaces. They wiggle ever so slightly, and unplug themselves by half a millimeter. Suddenly, a monitor or AVR will stop working, but it might not be obvious if you are watching TV through a PC. (For example, HDMI connections: PC (Unplugged) -> AVR -> TV (HDMI passthrough).
The locking connector means you don’t get those annoying issues where the TV looks like it’s having issues, but it’s actually due to a loose cable on the PC - AVR connection. Lots of troubleshooting sometimes.
If you do hate the latches, they make flat ones too
People on bikes and scooters here just blow through red lights without even looking. Sometimes I won’t even hear the scooters running the reds when I’m on foot because they are so quiet.
People I know have unfortunately died or become vegetables from non-traffic related crashes on bikes and escooters without helmets. :/
I love mountain biking, but I’m super anal retentive about always wearing protective gear, and I never ride with traffic because it’s so dangerous. I feel similarly uneasy about heavy and fast ebikes and emtbs.
Just watch out for the brain worms in unprepared foods, lmao
One of the people I dated once confused wild onions with Death Camas in her omelets. She and her father got extremely sick and at least one got admitted to the hospital. Luckily, nobody died. Luckily, death Camas aren’t as toxic as some mushrooms. I wouldn’t dick with mushrooms even if I had an ID book, though.
The stakes just aren’t worth it. I had a book on mushrooms as a kid, and after reading it cover to cover, I decided it just wasn’t worth the risk of misidentification. Many look similar, and the edible-looking ones are sometimes quite toxic.
Kinda unsettles me a bit. To be clear, I don’t want violence. But I also don’t think that burning an object should be punishable. And that goes for stuff like my country flag, my pride flag, my bible. People should have the freedom of expression, even if their expression is a bad take or a waste of paper and nylon.
I just wish everyone could be more chill. Half the people need to quit being assholes, and the other half need to take 12 seconds to calm down and not freak out over something small. We have much bigger things to freak out about that we should be (constructively) freaking out about, like the collapse of entire food chains due to overfishing.
I commit all kinds of cast iron crimes, but honestly, just re-seasoning pans is fine. Oil and wipe with a paper towel. Cast iron can absolutely take a cleaning.
I fully clean mine with soap because I make spicy tacos at night in it, then flapjacks the next day. Nobody wants spicy flapjacks.
The real key is unscented/unflavored soap. then, reseason with just enough oil to keep it shiny. If you make it your main pan, it will get nice and seasoned from years of use. :)
