A userscript manager, also known as a userscript engine, is a type of browser extension and augmented browsing technology that provides a user interface to run and organize userscripts. The main purpose of a userscript manager is to execute scripts on predetermined webpages as they are loaded, for example, running a userscript to modify only youtube.com pages. Userscript managers use metadata that is embedded in a script’s source code primarily to determine the websites it should execute on and the dependencies necessary for the script to run properly. Metadata can also include information that is useful to the user such as the script’s name, author, description and version number.
Popular userscript managers include Tampermonkey, Greasemonkey, and Violentmonkey. The Gear browser for IOS has a userscript manager built in.

When my son was 4 years old I took away his mattress and forced him to sleep on the floor every night.
If he did his chores, I closed his window.
If he got straight A’s, I gave him a blanket.
If he got in a fight at school and won, I wouldn’t force him to take his shower cold.
One day, he asked me,
“dad, why is that no matter how hard I work, I can’t seem to earn a bed?”
I slapped him, first - every question carries a price - then responded,
“son, you can work as hard as you can in this world, it doesn’t always mean you’re going to get what you want.”
