Terrible analogy honestly. Feel free to not use this software, nobody will ever force you to use it.
This is not software to entertain you. It’s a tool that you don’t understand how to use and choose to blame the people building it for free.
Do I really need to remind this is free software made by benevolent developers? I get it it’s infuriating but it’s still in some way a gift you were given and seem unhappy with.
My CV is still to this day in LateX and I still kinda regret that decision.
It just brought more headaches.
So true, and all that to boost the ego of some higher up.
That’s the thing when you sell the idea of something which the value can’t be evaluated easily, you can totally bullshit on everything.
“This new brand image will boost our visibility on the market…”
When in reality nobody knows if that new brand will stick or if the users will really like it.
When I was a kid I visited my grandparents and since there was still only Internet Explorer on their terrible computer I decided to install Firefox.
Unfortunately the computer power supply died right after I did.
Therefore my Firefox installation was determined to be the root cause of the computer being ruined.
So yeah, Firefox apparently kills power supplies in some folklore.
End of mayan calendar ? Now that would be interesting…
Was it really still an official calendar system? In what country?
Beavers have long mastered the art of AI prompting.
It dates back to the great war against the squirrels and their coup attempt in Venezuela.
Beavers said in the memo that generative AI also mirrors the levels of professionalism, clarity and detail in the prompts you provide. Beavers added that being polite to your AI chatbot “not only ensures you get the same graciousness in return, but it also improves the AI’s responsiveness and performance.”
Plot twist : it’s a shell casing used to house a water pump.
Correct.
I discussed it with my French fellow Bourreaux and they are very much shocked that such primitive technology could be used to execute people, that’s savage!
Well it’s for bankers so maybe that’s fine.
Ahah
The picture also includes a very nice guillotine (I’m French and I approve the message), very ominous.
Really seems like this guy has some kind of grudge toward banks…
I think that since you care about cleanliness of your environment you have trouble wrapping your head around some people not caring at all about that.
Some people don’t even notice garbage on the ground. I have seen a soon to be engineer throwing their trash out of the window like a century ago. He didn’t even notice the trash in the street below even though he was walking through it everyday.
It’s not about morality it’s about not giving a fuck to something so hard you don’t even notice it.
Also some people have a life so hard it’s just not possible for them to care about it. When it comes to survival I don’t blame people for not being able to care. If your concern is your next meal throwing your trash properly seems irrelevant.
Tetsuo@jlai.luto memes@lemmy.world•Please, for the love of God, just stop giving him attention1·6 months agoIs the concept of invasion not clear?
You don’t have to ask once you invaded.
Sure this is an unlikely scenario but saying Donald can’t afford to lose a partnership by invading an allied country is not understanding the problem.
The way I see it, innovation is a product like anything else in the context of capitalism.
Sam Altman wanted openAI to be non profit in its innovation but this was incompatible with capitalism that identifies it as a product with value.
So basically capitalism tries to find monetary value in anything so it can be sold because the ultimate goal is money.
Innovation is a byproduct of capitalism searching for new things to sell.
(Disclaimer : I understand Sam Altman probably never genuinely wanted to innovate for free, this is just a posture)
Americans realize how deadly corporate greed hits people in health care -> proceeds to elect Trump.
It’s Leopard season I suppose.
Tetsuo@jlai.luto memes@lemmy.world•Shitting on Windows built-in media player if you didn't know161·6 months agoIf I’m not mistaken the people behind Videolan also did x264 which is a pretty major library used to encode h.264.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X264
It’s a lesser known project from videolan but with a rather broad use online.
But discrediting someone’s opinion by just posting this meme is NOT toxic ?
So it’s toxic to assume someone might be a Russian bot but it is not toxic to disregard the opinion of everybody that said that ? You know there are bots online. Maybe not much here but there was definitely many on Reddit. So bots are real but someone that points out a bot must be wrong.
This is weird.
It was called the stone age for a reason…
