They failed massively on this part on last September. Not only did they ignore several countries warning then but they actively moved soldiers from protecting the border to Gaza to the Westbank to help in their illegal settler campaign. And even after being engaged in massive battles in Gaza they KEEP fucking things up in the Westbank, ensuring that the people there will continue to hate Israel. And that’s by no means a new development but they have been doing so for decades.

So yeah, they are doing a really shitty job at protecting their people.

Oh some do, but it’s certainly something which could use a lot more funds. That would definitely be much better at tackling bullying than school uniforms.

I was talking about the “underlying issues” of bullies.

But the inequality isn’t addressed! Parent’s now have to shell out additional money to buy school uniforms and you can bet that kids who spend their free time around other kids still want to have what ever shoe, pants or jersey is in right now. They sure as hell don’t spend their free time in their school uniform! So this does absolutely nothing to address this issue.

And frankly, handling peer pressure is a topic that every parent should properly teach their kids. The solution to this for damn sure isn’t to buy your kid what ever fashion trend is in right this week!

What else do you want them to do?

How about working with troubled kids to address the underlying issues?

Which shows that they really don’t understand bullying and are looking for an easy way out. Bullies will now just pick another “excuse” to harass other kids. If you want to have less bullying you have to tackle why bullies do so in the first place. And that’s personal problems of the bullies them self and not external factors.

Big tragedy is a pretty apt description of the whole fucking shit show in that conflict.

Well I think the reality is really complex and intertwined. Jewish people live in Israel because, historically speaking, they aren’t safe anywhere else.

I hear this claim a lot. But in the view of the recent killing of over a thousand Israeli’s this really doesn’t seem to be true. Israel also constantly claim to be surrounded by hostile nations which would eradicate all of them given the chance. From this perspective countries like the US, while far from being free of antisemitism seem more safe for Jews than Israel.

The only thing Israelis in Israel are safe from, is antisemitism from the sate. But as we’ve seen the state has catastrophically failed to ensure the safety of their citizens. And they continue to make the whole situation worse and are currently ensuring that at least for one or two generations the hatred between Israel and Palestine will continue.

Also, wtf is the basketball team of israel supposed to do if their political leaders go ham?

If they don’t agree with the current politics of their country? At the very least be very outspoken about it or just don’t play at all under their flag. If you play for a national team in an international competition between nations, then of course you do represent the country. And that representation of course also includes current actions which many find at least very concerning.

Or you can just label anyone who criticises Israel as anti-semitic. That’s after all what the right wing extremists of Israel do constantly to shit blame away from their disgusting actions.

Even if he ends up on the ballot, there’s no way in hell that he will get fair elections and does have any chance of ousting Putin. Putin has killed a lot of Russians to get into the positions he’s currently in to give it up now.

Such people are just in for the money and have absolutely no qualm of selling out their specific minority. And they always make the mistake of thinking, that they are special and that they will be loved by the bigots they try to placate. But history has shown that such people will always be the first to be purged when the party gets into power if they haven’t been thrown out way before that.

In the US we can currently also see such examples with the MAGA crowd where non white figures in the movement find out the hard way, that the crowd doesn’t like them and is already shunning them because of their name, skin color or immigration background.

While that may be right, what good is it to have the concept of a well-fortified Democracy with laws aimed to prevent exactly what’s happining right now and then not use it! The whole “The NPD shouldn’t be banned, because it’s to insigificant” and “The AfD can’t be banned because it’s to big” arguement is so bloody stupid.

If a party does break laws, and I’d say the AfD does so plenty, then they should be banned. Everything else makes a mockery of the whole state. Not to mention that it’s also very dangerous.

To quote Erich Kästner:

It’s high time to fight the AfD with the necessary vigor now! And that requires all parties to stand together. But of course the fucking conservatives again play right into the hand of the Facists.

Well, who actually does do that? The US a bit, but mostly for their own interest in a few important strategic topics. The rest of the world, including the EU pretty much continues as usual, so why should Switzerland of all countries start antagonising China?

I mean I’m all for not involving our self so much with China, but if this happens it has to come as group effort. If only a few countries start, they just cripple their economy while the other countries profit.

Yeah that would work if that law was designed and will be carried out in good faith. But I don’t trust Sachsen-Anhalt of all states to do so!

When you look at the recent history of this state with Nazis, including those in their own police and offices, and how it constantly fails to do even the slightest thing against them I don’t trust them that they now suddenly are doing this in good faith. The intent of this law seems to be very clear and the vagueness of it isn’t an accident but the important feature of it for it to be applied as broadly as possible.

Seems to me this whole concept of the “Wehrhafte Demokratie” wasn’t properly thought through.

And that’s by design! Just google “saschen nazi” and you’ll find tons of problematic shit from Nazis and right-wing extremists which this state does absolutely nothing against. But now they suddenly care about anti-semitism when it comes from foreigners? Yeah right ;-). This law for sure won’t be used in good faith but will be abused to deny as many foreigners as possible.

Haha, yeah sure! Sachsen of all states is learning from their mistake and honestly try to get rid of anti-semtitism! At least as long it’s from foreigners, if it’s their own police sharing Nazi stuff in chats then it’s no big problem and nothing can be done. Getting the biggest numbers of AfD voters also certainly isn’t a problem at all ;-).
