Ha I had problems with the multi-message thing even a few years ago, sending messages from android to iOS. I tend to send very verbose messages, and the delay between them, as well as having it come through as text, made them a jumbled mess.

For a while I was putting numbers before every sentence if I thought the message was too long to be one message.

So glad that doesn’t happen anymore, tho we solved it by swapping to signal, I’m not sure the problem itself ever resolved.

That’s a solid point. Most issues just stop being personal issues when they reach a certain magnitude.

It was really interesting when lemm.ee went down because all of my accounts took a serious amount of time to deal with that data change. Just a ton of “unable to fetch” errors until it all calmed down.

Only my piefed account worked properly.

Did it need to be the right moment, though? I remember going through that canyon temple with the guardians and just standing and waiting for the attack with my shield up, and needing to reposition to get it to hit them back… but that memory might be incorrect…

The self checkout at the grocery here makes you have a worker check and enter your coupons for you. Even though they have barcodes. And cameras galore. And they mail you dozens of coupons every week.

What’s even the point of self checkout at that point? It took longer waiting for them to come check and approve my three coupons to save $1.50 than just going through regular cashier line, and I didn’t even get to avoid talking to someone. Did that twice and won’t do it again.

If they want me to work for them, I’m gunna need an employee discount. I hate everything about self-checkout. I have yet to find an implementation of it that is better than the default cashier experience.

(This is not meant as saying you are wrong for your preference ofc, I just don’t understand how people actually like them)

I have a local burger joint at which I can still get a $2 cheeseburger. It’s plain and everything is an up charge but that’s fine. A whopper or Big Mac clone is some $4.50, so like, it’s still pretty cheap.

However, they have no seating, and it’s an old ice cream shop so just a big kitchen and a tiny indoor order/pickup window and 2 benches. And there’s always a massively long line. Takes easily an hour to get fast food there during peak, cuz nobody goes to the local depressed millennial McDonald’s (one of those sad gray ones)
