Futon are made from sheets of wool (traditionally) or cotton (modern) folded over several times and then tied together. They’re very soft and fluffy but can get flat as used. Daily folding and putting away of the futon helps keep them fluffy.

These things are really nothing like the real thing in practice. I’m half Japanese and sleep on a real one every night (though raised on a western style bed platform with tatami instead of slats/boxspring and find the American use of the term insulting, at best.

+1 to all you said. I collect vinyl for a number of reasons and none of them are because it is technically superior (it isn’t) however, many (most?) people have never heard just how good vinyl can actually sound when it’s in good condition and played on a good setup. I personally cannot tell the difference between even a 33 and CD, let alone a 45, and I have a decently high end setup.

My ears like to trick me and tell me I can hear a difference between a 33 and 45 but I’m pretty sure this is a lie.

It’s always amazing to me how different people react so differently to certain drugs. For me, the first line would be something like “anxiety is still there, but my brain is a little fuzzy and it feels a bit further away” and the rest of the lines would be “brain so fuzzy. Hate. “

That’s not how I took the original comment. They said “try to get” and that it was frustrating how else would you try other than asking for it? And how would it be frustrating if you could simply ask to get it to happen?
