I’m kind of enjoying it. I translate things sometimes. Most of the time, I don’t. I’m just really happy to have social media that isn’t an authoritarian, walled garden, filtered for engagement, and segregated by culture. Lemmy may be small, but it’s diversity is really strong. It does create situations in which I can’t appreciate the content sometimes, but I’m happy that it’s there for its intended audience in a way that I can see. It’s nice to feel included in things that aren’t specifically for me.

Agreed, and I feel like that’s what I’m getting at here. A family of five used to be able to exchange 40 hours of labor with the economy and at least get by. Now it’s 80 hours, and we’re struggling. The right is suggesting we put our children to work to make up the difference.

I know 4D spacetime can be non-euclidean, but I believe those are localized to areas experiencing relativistic extrema.

Also, it’s a little inaccurate as the dog would be moving at hundreds of thousands of kilometers per hour, either burning up in the Earth’s atmosphere or plowing through its surface. Also, I don’t think dogs have the ability to do this, so there’s that.
