We need worker cooperatives. Unions are a bandaid over the misaligned incentives that capitalism creates. We need better education on exactly how these things work.

They are fully mask off and to play off any of their obvious rhetoric is sanewashing at best and doublespeak indoctrination at worst.
Not all at all. Lots of utilities are Consumer Cooperatives. Lots of people working at those cooperatives don’t even know that consumer and worker cooperatives are market socialist and tend to be conservative which annoys the heck out of me.
And this is English. Do you write an exchequer or a check?
This! That stupid map that just shows the US and Burma always annoys me. The US customary system includes Metric units. Canada and England still use Imperial/Customary. And “Metric” Is actually like 5 different systems with similar features like ANSI/ISO, KMS/CGS, and the three different pressure measurements.
Natural units >>> Metric I want an alternative to Metric that uses base 12 units instead.
Well there’s like 30 species and only 4 that hurt humans, so mosquitoes can stay, but those specific 4 can die off.
No, there are plenty of women who actively reinforce hierarchy over egalitarianism for the same reason men do. They want to feel special in comparison and in competition to other members of their perceived cohort. A woman might feel extra powerful from the idea she was disadvantaged and became an oppressor herself.
Or worse, she has the “temporarily embarrassed billionaire” or submissive perspective and reinforces the system at her own detriment because she doesn’t want to stick out and is angered by others sticking out as it would invalidate any progress she has made under the current regime.
As a Mutualist Linux user I concur.
Deleting it is so cathartic!
🤣 That’s my brother’s favorite dino
Asocial - Allosocial
Aplatonic - Alloplatonic
Afamilial - Allofamilial
We need Syndicates and Worker/Consumer cooperatives as an end goal. Unions aren’t the finish line and are only a bandaid over capital ownership.
Genetic algorithms kinda suck as they use random variations and breeding to solve a problem which is much slower than using backpropagation with any decent reward modeler. It’s the difference between selective breeding and gene splicing in the real world.
Novelai is pretty good and meant for stories.
You just described a housing cooperative. This form of collective ownership aligns owner and renter/home owner stakeholders as the same person and is a special form of consumer cooperative. Housing cooperatives are especially prevalent in the nordic countries. They keep prices down as they aren’t owned by shareholders who want continuous profit. The problem with this style of firm is that they tend to dissolve after the tenets collectively pay off the property and seek to sell rather than maintain or expand the cöop. This occured after world war 2 in France as a bunch of post war building were quickly built and the coops that built them were dissolved.
Yeah, but there is the authoritarian state owned housing way and the anarchist housing cooperative way. Political science isn’t linear.
It’s not linear. Anarchist or Libertarian Socialist systems like Syndicalism, Mutualism, Georgism, and Distributism are just as Socialist as Marxism in that they prevent the exploitation of capital accumulation, but they favor direct stakeholder ownership of firms in place of a state or other more communal systems that create an inherent hierarchy of power.
There’s also a middle ground between consumer cooperatives which are more on the communal side and worker cooperatives that are more on the libertarian socialist side with Worker Consumer Cooperatives that align both kinds of stakeholders with ownership and management reducing exploitation on both ends.
It’s artificial as in fake, not man-made and it’s been that way since the 70’s. It’s only the pop-sci definition that’s inaccurate. AI has always been about faking decision making whether it is an adversarial AI in a video game or a chat bot. You can hate the overhyped wallstreet buzz around LLMs, but this semantic argument crap has just been annoying.
