I can very easily plot how good I feel on any given day against how consistent my sleep/wakeup times for the last week have been.

If I know I fell asleep at midnight, and woke up at 8am every day for the last week straight, damn will I feel energized today. But if I know last night I got to bed late, then went on my phone, and hit snooze on my alarm, yup I 100% deserve the grog and demotivation I have today.

As someone who’s been in circles where the question of why we value homeless people and don’t just remove them to make room for people who actually contribute, why yes this is surprisingly real
