  • It’s the same as religions … and it all boils down to sales and salesmanship and marketing.

I know lots of charismatic people who could talk to you endlessly about bullshit and get you buy a used car and make you believe that it’s the best purchase for your situation … and they’ll make you believe that they are your best friend in the world.

Those same people are the same individuals that can make you believe all sorts of things … things like you should give them money in order to make the world a better place. Then they go on to convince other people to do the same.

You could say that their biggest skill is that they are salesmen but that’s only half the problem. The other half of the problem is that these sales people also attract the dumbest people. The combination of moderately capable salespeople and an extremely dumb community of people creates a group of individuals that can give one person a lot of power … then it creates a snowball effect where the small community attracts more dumb people and the community grows giving the one dumb idiot that started the whole thing more and more power.

The dumb idiot leader built their power and prestige on the stupidity of a mass of people. The more dumb illiterate and ignorant people you have in the world … the more likely this scenario will occur.

  • In Canada with Irish Canadian friends, my favourite was always … JELLO SALAD … basically a bowl of coloured jello with its of fruit in it. The bowl was usually set alongside all the turkey, potatoes, vegetables and stuffing.

Every other time of the year, it’s called a children’s dessert … at Christmas time, it’s known as an adult’s gourmet salad.

    Never understood it.

  • Don’t joke. I was at my wilderness cottage in northern Ontario about six years ago.

Bright blue sky, beautiful sun, warm air, no bugs … I was alone … the world was my own. Then a round white object the size of the full moon slowly drifted overhead. I thought maybe it was just some thing that was blowing by … a piece of garbage, plastic or even a party balloon. So I ignored it.

It stayed in place for an hour and I thought it was weird.

After hovering in place as clouds slowly started to move overhead … I became worried. It’s freaky to see an object stay in the same spot in the sky for eight hours and it isn’t the moon or the sun.

It stayed until sundown, then finally moved away.

I researched it and asked around about it days after.

Turns out it was a new experimental balloon system they launched from Timmins, Ontario. Some new system someone was developing to raise rockets into high altitude and launch them from there.

But for a few days I was really freaked out.

  • Your work is valuable and profitable

When you work for yourself, all that value is for you to benefit from … that’s why you like working for yourself and it feels enjoyable.

When you work for someone else, almost all the value of your work benefits someone else and you receive very little back. You are also aware that you are just one of many, many people around you who are being held in the same situation. This is why you don’t enjoy working for someone else.

Usually, its from the freeze/melt cycle forming giant blocks of ice somewhere on the road … then the plow pushing a giant chunk right onto your driveway. Best time for this is usually at the end of winter when it’s constantly thawing then refreezing at night.
