My arms were folded like that when I realized cannabis does not in fact make you go crazy or do unspeakable things. So many lies for so many decades. All for what, as now it is 100% legal in my country and almost all the stats are positive not negative. Why is no one being held accountable for the blatant lies?

Is it just me, or do we see “study” after study finding things we all knew already? What bothers more than stating the obvious is that nothing happens. We all just carry on as is.

This was very common in Canada in the late 80s and 90s with a couple chains still doing it today.

Not always as some really need to eat cheap or not at all, BUT, most buy things they really really really do not need and buy it as cheap as possible even those who say they cannot afford to eat.

Most people shop where the prices are best which contributes to the problem and has for a very long time. Capitalism just serves that human need.

Can’t say I have noticed them any more prevelent here than in Reddit and such. Agreed that a balance between capitalism and communism is probably the sweet spot as has been demonstrated in countries with the highest happiness and other such ratings.

Agreed. Whether it is Capatalism, Communism, Socialism, democracy, dictatorship they all have centralizion in them even if their intent is otherwise. We need to support more decentralized services and governance as it balance the poor and returns it to the people. We just need more people to get on board, it it seems like we prefer to give our power to power hungry companies and regimes instead. Not saying we need to have zero centralization as it has its place, but it needs to be kept in check and the only to force to do so is decentralization. But it is all so much more complicated and above the human condition to manage. Hopefully AI will be able to help for better or for worse.

Right. Communism vs capitalism is just more centralization. There are plenty of decentralized options to balance things as too much centralization, no matter the political system leads to corruption.
