    I don’t fully understand this.

    While having one big instance is not ideal, isn’t the idea that it should be easy to move once and if the big instance becomes draconian?

    I thought the whole point of the fediverse was not to get locked into a walled garden and be able to decentralize as needed, ending up with a few big players is inevitable, no?

    Okay but in post A, people from B won’t chime in, and conversely for things posted to B.

    I guess instance C can make posts where both people from A and B can chime in. So would people in instance A be able to talk to people in instance B in the instance C’s comment section? Cause A people don’t want to hear from B people.

    So we would still see less active posts as interactions would go down.




  • I’m glad someone else realized this too.

    I realized something, ever since 2016 we have been trained by the media to constantly be outrage over words that may never become actions.

    So now I only care if an action is made. All this “news” about trolls trolling the world is just a big nothing burger that you don’t need to know unless you actually work in politics.

    I would go as far as to say it should become a rule on some news subs that a controversial figure saying something controversial is not news.
