Can I go now?
I always feel like I’m taking crazy pills when the subject of Apple comes up on lemmy.
That’s good!
So it’s good faith to say that when Apple does something good that they are bad and it’s typical of them to be bad?
By allowing emulators on the app store… Apple Bad?
Exactly.
You should have asked them for their W-2 before agreeing to meet.
You want thingamabobs?
OnlyFans has that, too.
My take is that Furries align conceptually better with the leather community for roughly that reason. It’s not exclusively a sexuality, but deals with stigma in ways that are similar and has some other overlaps.
Those are clear cut examples, I think, but there are others that aren’t.
For example, I don’t think Furries should be included in there but I have heard some people do consider them as part of the +.
Not if you care about privacy and security, the environment (comparatively), user experience, industrial design, and any number of things that are important to tons of customers.
No company is perfect, nor are they beyond criticism. But the lemmy Apple-bad hive-mind is a bunch of people who can’t see past their Linux memes.
Objectively speaking, Apple is a less evil company than Google.
Is it Apple-bad time again?
Oh, right, I forgot, it’s ALWAYS Apple-bad time on lemmy.
That’s great news because I’m a master bater!
Yup. It went from “this is a horribly thought out way to move in a 3D scene and I can’t rebind the key bindings” to something pretty industry relevant in a short period of time.
My experience with open source software is that it doesn’t work anywhere near as well as the proprietary options when I need it and then 10 years later the community has rewritten it to become far superior and I always mean to go back and try it but no longer need it.
Blender I’m looking at you.
Playing Tony Hawk drastically changed the way I looked at the world.
It made me look around and up for things that I did not have the skill to grind on in real life and suddenly I was noticing details of buildings and art and so on.
Good thing that didn’t happen here, then?
