Personally, I feel that maybe the apps suck (Try some new ones, I really liked hinge}. But, the fact that you can meet people online these days is a huge boon to human coupling. I am a liberal living in a mostly Republican area, so trying to meet people in real life kind of felt like a landmine situation. Additionally, I have an anxiety disorder and I’m not sure I ever would have got enough experience dating to build up the emotional calluses that allowed me to win over my fiance! It also allows for a far wider pool of dating. You could spend all day every day trying to meet people in person and unless you’re already confident enough, I am not, you’re going to have more interactions online. My disorder is really not that severe, So I have major sympathy for people with worse symptoms than mine. For those people, online dating could be, functionally, their only way.

I think this number is a lot lower than people may think. From personal experience I have had covid more than four times (not testing anymore), I was only actually symptomatic to any degree with the first one. By contrast, my partner has never once actually tested positive, despite certainly having it at least once, having caught it from me, and being very symptomatic. Some people shed a lot of the virus, and some people shed not any basically whatsoever, since the tests are based on actually shedding the virus, many people who simply don’t shed the virus have caught covid-19 and simply don’t realize it or won’t ever test positive

Right, that’s the thing they don’t get. Might surprise them to learn, I almost wish their beliefs were true, so that they might taste that eternal fire they wish on others for their own shitty actions and thoughts

Seriously, conservatives want to pretend like we’re all just regular people so what do our political views matter right? But if The last 8 years have taught me anything it is that every conservative is some level of a bigot, even if you can get along with them, purely based off their political goals. Sorry, you can’t just work your ass off to deny people rights and sequester people you don’t like, then call it a “political view”.

Why is it the only time I ever hear the word “fiscal” is when a conservative is defending their entire half of the political sphere 😂 let’s all look past the human rights abuses and absurd gerrymandering/rigging of the entire democratic system and just think about the “fiscal responsibility” aspect (That, paradoxically, only ever actually seems to drive the national debt up faster when conservatives are in charge)
