I have no problems with people downvoting stuff. But if you’re willing to downvote something, you should be willing to stand by it instead of being anonymous.

Allow me to demonstrate
I personally think public downvotes should be a thing, people would think twice about downvoting unnecessarily.
You’ve never seen how dedicated trolls and bad actors can get, I see.
Context? What’s with the universal healthcare advocates?
Methinks you missed the joke :P
Calling @blaze@sopuli.xyz …
More like he’s modding half the comms.
First they will come. Then the second coming will occur.
Please add it to the sidebar, you can’t be enforcing hidden rules!
Indeed! It’s practically a curse to be living through such uninteresting times as these.

I’ve started a community, can I have my blackjack and hookers now please?

Well the information is out there in the wild for anybody with the know-how to access. Either via running their own instance on the side (doesn’t need any comms on it), or just via Mbin etc.
On the other hand, little cow is claiming to be speaking for the admins, the post has been on the front page and is now 2 days old, and the admins haven’t said a word to disagree.
Here’s the thing. Downvotes ARE public, just with a slightly higher barrier to access. Bad actors like that? Slightly higher barriers aren’t an issue, they will walk barefoot over broken glass to mess with you. The issue under consideration here is whether to remove that barrier so normal users (not crazy ones) can access the same info that others can.
