Im running an android phone from 2016 with android 13 and last week security patches. Smooth as silk, no google, no ads, battery lasts 10h SOT. That’s the reason why ill never switch to Apple as daily driver (I have 1 provided by my company)

Have you used android in the last 10 years? Im not the kind of guy who install 100 apps per day but i did not encounter this issue for a VERY long time.
Used or refurbished phones already payed that once and will not pay it again. So technically, you are not giving a cent to google.
And money recycling.
This sentence makes me laugh. Where are you from?
And you really think Domino’s is better? I believe the quality of the ingredients used are very, very different. With Domino’s specifically I only had bad experience and only in Europe, but when I was in NYC I tried some slice of NY style pizza and it was ok. But for me it was just a normal pizza like thousands I can have randomly around Italy.
Im not saying you should go to naples to try the real one, but have you at least ever been to Italy?
Being a hunter that eats whatever he hunts is less douchbaggy than not being a hunter and eating meat (like myself). Aldo, the fact that he is a hunter, maybe explain the truck choice
You can script that i believe. We had multiple fuckup in our company due to poorly missmanaged browser migration.
Im in a top500 and they swapped browser to like 30% of the population without informing local IT as a test. Many people lost bookmarks I always run a firefox in parallel (against company policy but they are too bad to find out)
Its an IBA official cocktail. Like “Manhattan” or “Negroni”
I guess it depends country by country. A company that is not netting anything at the end of the year or if it’s loosing money is a direct loss on the entrepreneur’s salary. Also if you do this too much, then it’s the entrepreneur that should fix the missing money for his employees or for other company with which he is in debt with.
Then again, it’s on the government to make sure this guy pays for the debt he left behind.
Oftentimes the story is different and somehow the boss manages somehow to “run away”. Then if you speak about appointed CEOs into S&P500 companies, that’s another story again because the “risk” there is really minimum for them, and other than “their image” they don’t risk anything.
In my opinion salary difference should always be a thing, but it should be balanced by the risk of the investment from the CEOs. Nowadays too many companies are bailed out by the government, so basically there’s no risk of running the business and huge salary for the top management. That’s an issue.
I’ve setup “OwnCloud”, I’m a nerd but never had real serious experiences with linux, I work in IT so I understand the basics of many things.
I’ve setup a debian VM on HyperV on my totally legal Windows server (Yes, nothing is opensource but at the same time while doing this stuff I learn new things for my job which is nice).
Mainly I followed this guides: https://www.tecmint.com/install-owncloud-in-debian/ https://kifarunix.com/install-owncloud-server-on-debian-10-buster/
It’s running since 3 years and I’m amazed by how low maintenance it is. It syncs the whole library with 2 of my computers and on-demand files on the android app.
Yes but it’s the creators that brings the people. YouTube worked because at the beginning it was the only place where you could upload videos and nobody was thinking about making a dime.
In newpipe you are still using yt servers so I guess the answer is yes (since you are leeching bandwidth without watching ads)
You are not just draining your battery tho, you are actually enjoying higher quality content :)
The reality is that nothing is really dying and nothing is really changing. Twitter is still fully operational and other than a small hit nothing happened. Twitch already did a step back. For Reddit we’ll see but only a really small percentage of reddit is using third party apps.
Like they were already loosing users before musk? Do you have a source?
While i basically never used twitter, i dont see it dying. Some sources post decresing userbase some are saying that after the big hit things started to go back to normal People forgets. Today they protest, tomorrow they bend.
Lenovo p2. Bought used in summer 2017 actually. Never swapped battery
