    Well, speaking as someone who has processed their own ‘void’ - I came to the conclusion that not referring to it as some spectral thing really helped.

    It’s not a void, my Dad was a drunk and I needed him to be my Dad. He wasn’t, and I have to fill in the gaps.

    When I started addressing these things as they were, rather than as the unknowable void within my dark soul, they stopped being unknowable voids. Arguably my soul stopped being so dark, as well. Food for thought, YMMV.

        I wish you luck on finding your path :). Don’t ever let anyone tell you that it should be easy - it isn’t. That doesn’t mean life isn’t worth it, that your life isn’t worth it. Even if it might be hard to see, sometimes.
