Which Debian distro will be recommended? I would make sure it is something with newer packages, otherwise people can run into issues with hardware compatibility among other things. Will things like gaming be mentioned, it is till among the most common reasons people refuse to use Linux.

The current guide I’m working on is going to reccomend Linux Mint due to it being beginner friendly, having a well written and easy to follow installation guide and already containing a good amount of bundled software. It being Debian based helps with support for proprietary software, like printer drivers for example.

And yes, gaming will be mentioned! A section dedicated to Wine, Lutris, PlayOnLinux and Proton is in the works. Some of the first versions to the guide will be up shortly on NotABug.
