I hate the uprising of the word tankie like the rise of the word woke. Just more language to make walls between people.

There is no unity for a riot to actually work. No protections for protesting or guarantees to healthcare.

Why do I feel like these posts come from non Americans who assume we have the same workers protections as them?

This will not be possible until his policies come to fruition and Republicans feel the pain of tariffs. And when it happens so many people will die.

I doubt anyone comes to help us.

Edit: Best we can hope for is the blue states to rise up and declare unified intent to secede and join the EU.

What do you guys plan on doing the next few years? Im at a loss.

I think my plan is to have consolidation of households in my family and try to survive.

But I feel no motivation to be a participant in this American way of life. This grind. This game.

We all can see what’s happening. This is the elites playing their deck in a class war. To make us feel pain again so we stop asking for more and get grateful for it. To bend the knee. To feel hunger and pain.

Is making a vlan important for your torrenting* device or is vpn enough?

Im planning to setup such a device and wanted people’s opinions more experienced than me.

Is there a way to donate centrally to the fediverse and have it dispersed equally to apps or devs working on these solutions?

Im on Voyager. I like it so far.

Yeah that’s a great point. Soon as I saw the companies at the Inauguration I deleted social media platforms owned by them and switched to DuckDuckGo/Firefox. Ive been on Linux Mint for some time.

Protesting with our wallets and going against the whole consumerism culture of these oligarchs is definitely the way to go. :)

I honestly don’t think these one off protests will force any change personally. They are a start to network and I think we should shift protests to be places to centralize people to a method of communication.

But the only thing that would force the hand of change is a general strike for weeks/months like Georgia is doing.

One decentralized protest organizer is starting a method of collecting sign ups to organize such a protest. Im not sure who the original organizer is but id rather give trust that something will come of it.

Personally, I think I will see if I can be more involved in my local state politics and volunteering. Might see if I can run for local office or if that is feasible.
