i think they did need to unify the design and branding but i also agree they went too far with it. if they had only chosen 1-2 colors for each app icon that would have helped a lot.

That makes no sense even if you’re just being lazy, the neck is a much easier place to handle a guitar from.

I think they did do research and third party app users make up a small enough portion of their user base that losing them is okay to Reddit.

users maybe, but i don’t think they considered mods in that. of course they can just replace mods as necessary, but the mod quality will go down for sure.

It is not super difficult to do the same type of blocking with a router on software like OpenWRT.

that is not something average people even know about, or would have the skills to attempt. not even close.
