I wish there were friendlier PSUs to these kinds of setups. Standard ones are often too large (yes even SFX), overpowered, with too many different cables instead of focusing on high efficiency at low loads and the specific connectors for disks.
Just a stranger trying things.

infomaniak is the largest swiss cloud provider, they have multiple services which are domain related (purchase and management), cloud computing and more. They have a good reputation. They also have a swiss cloud certificated meaning they are able to host data in Switzerland and manage it from Switzerland. If you trust Switzerland for privacy, I think by extension you can trust them.
I think there is a key distinction here: providing ads is fine, but tracking users and sending them targeted ads requires explicit consent. Forcing them to consent to giving up that privacy or else paying is not a fair choice. It’s not even financially fair either as meta is apparently making 80usd a year per user.
Why not give a choice to a user to get ads but not being tracked and not getting targeted advertisements? Where is that option?
When you pay meta, do they comit to stop tracking you or only stop showing you target ads? Because I certainly care about the tracking part and giving users the false sense of privacy because they pay is so disingenuous…
I’m glad to see it improving lately, together with proton, but it’s not ideal yet, for sure.

With HoloISO? Is it compatible? I think?
I can’t stand winter time, would love DST all year long. Its so depressing to have the sun set before I finish work and come home when its pitch black…
Regarding your last point, this is due to swiss neutrality: they don’t export to countries in war. That’s nothing new and is a fundamental principle of swiss neutrality.
They have followed up on all sanctions from the EU I believe. What do you mean no problem with Russians?
I also found this which could be of interest:
MLC-LLM, which “Enable everyone to develop, optimize and deploy AI models natively on everyone’s devices.”
Here used to deploy Llama-2-13B on the RX 7900 XTX:

AMD has ROCm which is available on And Radeon Instinct GPUs (server GPUs) and some consumer GPUs. You’d need to double check whether your GPU supports ROCm.
It seems there is some discussion happening here on the use of ROCm with Whisper: https://github.com/openai/whisper/discussions/105 And here (showing it might be possible?): https://github.com/openai/whisper/discussions/55
OpenAI’s Whisper model is a really great one, supports many languages ans translationa and is available both as a pretrained model (https://github.com/openai/whisper) which can be selfhosted and as an API (https://openai.com/pricing).
I suppose you can split your content in 3 categories:
For text, you can use Langchain which allows to get embeddings from text (read more here: https://js.langchain.com/docs/modules/data_connection/text_embedding/).
For images, you can use CLIP (this model is open source, from OpenAI). You can read more about it here: https://github.com/openai/CLIP
For audio, I don’t know anything off the top of my head but you are likely to find something even open source similar to the above I mentioned.
have been using FairEmail and it works really well. I have to admit it is a very verbose client which offers a vers large number of options and settings even as you just want to send an email (there’s a popup with how you want to send it) but it has never failed me and has a very good support for updates and guide for setting it up. It’s free but if you like it I highly recommend to support the developer who is fully committed to it (not personally related to the project in any way). I would be very upset if this project were to die and I had to find another client.

I’m personally still very much interested in HDDs with their better cost/GB, though it is true they have a shrinking lead over SSDs. I hope to move to SSDs completely for large storage space.
