They make stranded bulk cable, but there’s really not much use for it.
Nobody wants to pay people to terminate cat6 patch cables. It’s not cost effective compared to just buying premade cables of various lengths.
Maybe that’s why you are downvoted? You are otherwise factually correct. You shouldn’t use solid cable for patches…solid cable belongs in the wall/plenum to the back of the patch panel, where it doesn’t get messed with. It’s too fragile to be used outside of a wall.
Stranded is more flexible, making it better suited for patches, but it also doesn’t punch-down into jacks as nicely (making it a poor choice for runs between patch panels/wall jacks)
Just…whatever you do…don’t get CCA. Cheap crap shouldn’t even be allowed to call itself CAT6.
Are you sure you weren’t in r/carneservative?
We’re in x86 and we speak binary assembly in this architecture, goddammit.
Thank you. If Ikea could write directions in Python, I would be sooooo happy.
Is this AI?
Trump looks slim, that bowl looks…weird…and Uncle Ben’s finger looks to be bent at a very uncomfortable angle.
TIL Spez’s real name.
Fuck /u/Spez
Unless he legally changed his name, like Zoid Kirsch. Then I’d be saying don’t dead name. Even for /u/Spez. Zoid is cool people.
Would you rather be followed by 50rats, or one deadmau5?
I don’t think he’s trying to excuse it. I think he’s saying you’d view an autistic Nazi walmart greeter more differently than you’d view an autistic Nazi whose already the wealthiest man in the world, and society’s values are letting that wealth have a huge platform and allowing him to basically run the country unilaterally.
An autistic Nazi plebian doesn’t have that kind of influence. Many people would probably pity them. An autistic Nazi being given the world is probably a bad thing.
¿Por que no los dos?
That’s the problem with a post-truth society. Facts have become subjective.
Ok I don’t know how sheepdogs fit into the analogy but IMO they are neither pets nor cattle. They are like coworkers, and if I have to risk one every now and then to keep the wolves busy, so be it. It’s a dog-eat-dog world.
You reminded me of when I was cramming for CCNA like 10 years ago, and had a really bad cold for which I was given Codeine.
My girlfriend at the time told me that I was rambling about “spanning tree” in my sleep.
On that day, when the sky fell away
Our world came to an end
In our eyes did a fading sun rise
In the dark, glimmering shadows
A dollar is only a good price for an elephant if you need an elephant and have a dollar.
This is my problem with it.
Social media, the big ones that everyone uses, are a blight on society. They are worse than cancer and they need regulation and control.
Really, the bigger problem is the monetization of data, and the ever-deeper orificices that they try to dig into for said data.
But I digress.
At the same time, they are private industries running a public (ish) forum.
Historically, we’d expect the forum owners to be responsible about the content they are presenting, and ensure that it doesn’t reflect poorly on them or their community.
In other words…you wouldn’t see the grocer keeping hate speech up on his community board…but if you did, I’m sure a lot of people would choose a different grocer.
The social media giants are taking a page right out of the book of Mormon, and gotten itself so engrained into modern society that trying to separate yourself from it will, at some level, result in social exile. That’s bad.
Now theres a company backed by an increasingly adversarial nation-state that is in charge of a shit ton of that data. That’s bad.
There’s a lot of bad. Ultimately, it’s a highly nuanced issue.
Theys Americans is so dumb.
Twitter isn’t and wasn’t worth $44 billion.
Controlling the narrative is, though.
They were asking for it. Did you see what they were wearing?
Poor unidan. Reddit’s resident ornitholigist who flew too close to the sun.
I really loved accounts like his…people who were very knowledgeable on a subject and would just show up to drop a ton of knowledge. It satiated my wikihole cravings while also keeping me on Reddit.
